INSIDE OF THE CARTRIDGE
Each ink cartridge contains one or more ink reservoirs; inside each partition of the ink reservoir is a heating element with a tiny metal plate or resistor. In response to a signal given by the printer,
a tiny current flows through the metal or resistor making it warm, and the ink immediately surrounding the heated plate is vaporized into a tiny air bubble inside the nozzle.
INK SUPPLY TANK
An Ink Supply Tank is a device used on inkjet printers that increase the capacity of ink
a printer can hold. They consist of 4 bulks ink tanks that each holds 100ml of ink and sit at the side of the printer.
A newer inkjet option, Continuous Ink System (CISS) printers saves you time and cost less per print by using high-capacity ink cartridges so you can print more without refilling. You’ll also find options that use low-cost refillable ink tanks and some models can print for two years without needing more ink.
